Lets get the bloody thing out there. Finally some sense might prevail at Sony. We dont want another second life we just want in game XMB and voice messaging FFS
SCEE president David Reeves has said that they were deserting gamers by focusing on non-gaming applications within Home like getting Nike/Adidas sponsorship. So to make up for it he says they are "concentrating on the gaming by launching games in Home, and attracting people who are into gaming in first - instead of the Nike people, or Adidas people who are into fashion and not necessarily into gaming." Reeves also said that the open beta will definitely be coming in Autumn but hes not sure if that will be October or November.

"We've realised that maybe we were too ambitious with the non-gaming applications within Home, getting sponsors and stuff like that," he went on to confess.
"In that sense we were deserting gamers. So, we're concentrating on the gaming by launching games in Home, and attracting people who are into gaming in first - instead of the Nike people, or Adidas people who are into fashion and not necessarily into gaming."
