Nothing about us unless we are included in the European beta?
After going thru the painful process fatman mentioned yesterday my sign up was rejected due to overload. What a croc
Konami have announced changes to the dates of the Metal Gear Online Beta for Europe and the US. For the US: 1) Start date: Planned for 04/25/2008 24:00(PDT). While the start is planned for the weekend, it may change due to unforseen circumstances. 2) Beta Test closure: This will now be on 05/11/2008 at 24:00(PDT) rather than 05/05/2008 at 24:00(PDT). For Europe: 1) Suspend beta test: As of 25/04/2008 08:00(CEST) 2) Planned for 04/25/2008 24:00(PDT). While the start is planned for the weekend, it may change due to unforseen circumstances. 3) Beta Test closure: This will now be on 11/05/2008 at 24:00(CEST) rather than 06/05/2008 at 24:00(CEST). Yeah I tried to log in yesterday, got an error googled the error - read the uproar on the ps blogs etc and decided I'll give it another go or two before I delete it. I'll give it more of a chance when it's out of Beta, but I feel like I've already burned enough time and bandwidth on this one.

The P2P service was badly setup, they had no option to properly throttle your upload speed so your connection was choked. I was uploading at 95k and downloading at 65k. Anyone who has there uploads counted in their quota will be hurt if they leave it on overnight.
I just missed you in Warhawk, i had to download the patch for it.

Doh! Yeah I said I would play to 8:30 and ended up playing until 10:00.... I'm not going to get much gaming in for the rest of the week

Ive now got my ID registered, pain in the ass that you have to register totally seperately. I just want to play the game and they make me go out of the game to specifically register with Konami

How about the ID you have to use... Must contain lower case letter, full stops, hyphens, underscores and numbers... So much effort and so far no reward... The trailer scared the shit out of me, it looks like a kids game... Boxes moving, barrels rolling, guys launching themselves off of catapults... I feel a silly game coming on.

LOL - it dosnt have to contain those characters, they are the only ones you can use.
It has to be alphanumeric of at least 8 characters, that is ridiculous enough, if i had to create a name with all those in i would be lost in seconds. My ID is waddpsw9, Gamer ID waddpsw99

i finally completed my registration this morning and although its annoying you have to create a Konami ID and Game ID, it went smoothly for me.
Yeah LOL fatman u dont need to create an ID with full stops, hyphens Etc. i can see your username name now - xy-lios_23. 
Also i thought the trailer looked good, and was obviously directed with a cominic vibe

seriously it pulled me up 3 times when I tried to make the ID stating must use lower case, full stops, underscore and hyphens. I figured since I wasn't using caps it must have meant that I needed to use the other characters as well. Doh! Konami pulled a swift one on a dumb fat guy...

Dear God, the latest I read about MGS on the interwebs is that amongst other dubious gameplay elements such as crotch grabbing the game features an implied child rape... wtf?

I still havnt been able to play the stupid game. It keeps giving me an error when connecting.
Seriously not a good start, ill be waiting to see the issues they have before buying this one now.
