Hi Guys
JB currently has a trade in deal atm going for a host of 360, Wii, and PS3 games. Games such as Vegas 2, Condemned 2 and Bully are free if you trade in a certain amount of games. But the best news is that GTA4 is also one of the free trade in games.
You get the PS3 version for free if you trade in 2 PS3 titles, whilst the 360 version is free if you trade in three 360 titles. However exclusions do apply.
But i know Rainbow six 1, Gears Of War, and Fight Night 3 are not excluded for 360. Whilst Ninja Gaidan, and Heavenly Sword and F1 are not excluded for the PS3. Also you can trade in a maximum of 2 copies of the same title.
Thus Fatman i was thinking we should get two copies of Vegas 1 from EB for $25 each, and i'll trade the copy along with Fight Night and Gears whilst you could trade the other with your own Rainbow 6 and Gears.
You In? $25 GTA4 sounds bloody good to me.
One last thing though, we can't trade in now and preorder, you can only trade in towards GTA upon release.

Yeah for sure lock it in Eddy $25 I'm there! Also I read up on the different GTA4 versions, I'm gonna go with GTA4 on 360 - it was lead SKU (which will basically mean no real benefit to picking it up on BR), has the extra DLC if I want it later, plus the online. Fairly rock solid reasons I think. So I'm in.

I think FATMAN is right, the 360 version sounds like it will be the better choice. I wonder if the content will be censored the same? Damn it, we only got a 15+ rating, I'm really tempted to cancel my preorder and go with the US release...

I'd guess the two censored aussie versions would be the same on both consoles. I'm not sure it's going to be that big a deal - I mean last time they censored GTA it was the hot coffee thing I think, that sort of thing doesn't bother me either way. So if it's something like that then meh, but if it censored like removal of missions, blood, swearing et al I'll be pissed. I'm more pissed that we seem incapable of getting an R rating for video games in this country than anything else.
But yeah D you should pick up a 360 and play a bit of GTA4 online with us, it'll no doubt be a bit of fun... Or it could be shit. But I'm banking on fun.

I saw at Gamestop in Logan Holme HyperDrome last night that they still have the trade in... I think with a PS2 and 10 games a 360 is $349

Yeah this trade in depends on what content we will be missing out on, but if we go on past GTA experiences it'll be nothing.
If we do go ahead with the trade in Fatman i'll be going first thing Tuesday (release day) morning, as i don't want to miss out. You should take the day off and do the same, then we can take the added benefit of playing GTA and COD4 online all day hehe.
p.s. you up for some COD tonight?

I might look into the leave situation and take the day you should too D get yourself a 360 and GTA and the three of us can make a day of it  .
I was thinking about a day off soon anyway. No go on CoD tonight I have a bunch of stuff to take care of this week so I'm out until the weekend unfortunately. I'm not too phased about the missing content (just wish I had a choice like I have with movies) especially if I can pick it up for 25 bucks on launch day. So I might not be able to kill a hooker in game, not a big loss for me I'll pay 25 bucks and be happy with that I think.

Holy shit multiplayer madness - GTA IV Knife fight on top a suspended steel girder dangling over Liberty City. This is going to be the most obscenity laden multiplayer game ever - for those who enjoy voice comms.
you know what I think the site here needs a GTA IV Hype thread just like every other site in the universe...
