CeBit 2008: Police raids, booth babes (NSFW) and 'escort' shortages
CeBIT, the world's largest computer expo, was quite eventful this year. 180 police and customs officials raided the event as 51 booths had devices that were allegedly in violation of MPEG audio patents. Also, Germany's largest daily tabloid ran a story titled "Prostitute Shortage during CeBIT", with 2,000 additional prostitutes apparently traveling to Hannover to make up the numbers. The show also had some very scantily clad ladies at the event, with one only wearing body paint up top and one exhibitor featuring two ladies in a hot tub..

Quote from the article.
"The raids of 51 booths at the CeBIT technology conference in Germany were at the behest of an Italian organization that enforces patents for the companies that own them. Products seized included players that use MP3 and MP4 formats, as well as blank CDs and DVDs and digital video players." _________________
